What is a remote notary?
A remote notary is a legally commissioned notary public who is authorized to conduct notarizations over the internet via digital tools and a live audio video call.
How does online notarization work?
You are connected with a commissioned notary public via live audio-video call. The notary public confirms your identity visually using the scanned photo ID, and then witnesses as you sign the document. Just like a traditional notarization, the notary then signs and places their notarial seal on your document.
Is online notarization legal?
Yes, it is. Certain states and public agencies have specific additional requirements and limitations for executing and/or accepting electronically-signed documents and out-of-state notarizations, and not all documents may be electronically-signed. We always recommend checking with your intended recipient to confirm their acceptance of online notarizations.
What forms of identification are acceptable?
Mobile notaries accept a variety of documents. Only valid U.S. issued identifications are acceptable forms of ID. A current driver’s license, passport, non-driver’s license ID or military ID is always acceptable. Presenting a credible witness is also an option. Contact us for more information. If you are unsure whether your ID will be accepted, just send us an email: info@notaryservicesondemand.net.
Where do you provide your services?
We will come to a place that is convenient for you. This can be your home or office, a restaurant, or even a nursing home, hospital, or federal, state or county correctional facility.
Can I come to your location?
We do not have a physical location. Our service is strictly mobile and by appointment only. If you live outside of the D/FW Metroplex, please search NotaryProfessionals.org for a Notary near you.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Since we provide virtual services, all appointments must be booked and confirmed at least 15m before the desired appointment time.
How are refunds and cancellatons handled?
There are no refunds on documents that have been fully notarized and signed. Cancellations must be made at least 3 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time to avoid a $25 cancellation fee.
What are your hours?
We are open 24 hours a day / 7 days per week.
What forms of payment are acceptable for your services?
We accept a variety of payments. We take Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, Apple Pay, Stipe Invoice. Billing can be arranged for business customers.
What are your rates?
Fees vary per service. Please visit the Pricing Page or click the Schedule button to learn more.
What if my document requires a witness?
Several transactions require more than just the notary and signatory. If you’re signing a document that requires a witness, you’ll want to make sure you let us know before your appointment. We will supply a witness for you.
Do I need to be present to have something notarized?
Yes. In order for us to notarize a document, the individual must sign the document in the presence of the Notary. If you are unavailable for an in-person appointment, please schedule a Remote Online Notary appointment.
Does notarization mean that a document is “True” or “Legal”?
No. Notaries are not responsible for the accuracy or legality of documents they notarize. Notaries certify the identity of signers. The signers are responsible for the content of the documents.
